About our Supreme Governor:  Willard R. Kitchens serves as Supreme Governor, the chief presiding officer of the Loyal Order of Moose. He was elected to this position at the 129th International Convention in Tampa, FL in July 2017. Prior to this post he served as Supreme Jr. Governor in 2016-2017 and Supreme Prelate in 2015-2016. Willard has served on the Supreme Council, the Fraternity’s corporate Board of Directors, since 2008. Willard joined the Moose in 1982 as a member of Prattville, AL Lodge 1864 (which merged into Dallas County, AL Lodge 1737 in February 2012). He held numerous chairs there, including that of Governor. In addition to his Alabama lodge membership, he also holds membership at lodges in Georgia, Tennessee and Mississippi. Willard has been active as a Ritualist, and is a member of Dixie Moose Legion 115 where he holds his Life Membership and served in all the chairs. He also holds membership in Coastal Plains (GA) Moose Legion 128, Chattahoochee Valley (GA) Moose Legion 130, and Magnolia (MS) Moose Legion 67, Volunteer (TN) Moose Legion 12 and Cordell Hull (TN) Moose Legion 75. Willard is a Past State President of the Alabama State Moose Association and served as Deputy Supreme Governor and as Association Secretary. A member of the 200 Division of the Moose 25 Club, Willard received the Fellowship Degree of Honor in 1987 and the Pilgrim Degree of Merit in 1992. Willard served in the U.S. Navy and later was employed in the jewelry business. Away from his fraternal duties, Willard enjoys gardening, softball, baseball and devotional reading. Willard and his wife Kay reside in Prattville, AL. They have two children and two grandchildren.
