Spring Training is in full swing so I guess it’s Spring – Right?

I hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day (last month). Our Redneck games were sure fun, especially with the Hobo Dinner – thanks to Patty and Hank! I’d like to thank everyone who helped make it a great day!

I would like to let everyone know that we had quite a poor response when we voted on the “you can’t play the Cover-All in Bingo if you don’t play the first 5 games.” Speaking of Spring Training — we almost needed a Referee on that one! The Board and Members who attended our open meeting decided that one of the benefits of being a Moose Member is the opportunity to play Bingo. Some Members are here part of the year and have different rules back home, some are here year-round and play 3 times a week all year no matter what. We will always have a few stragglers but, we all have the same chance to win on any given game. It is very difficult to make everyone happy and opinions differ. We do the best we can sometimes but that doesn’t mean everyone will agree.

St. Patty’s Day is right around the corner and we’ll be serving up our Corned Beef & Cabbage as well as music throughout the day. Please join us — it’s on a Friday this year! WEAR GREEN!

I attended the mid-year Conference in Albuquerque this past weekend and have even more information about our new program “Valued Veterans” which meets at our lodge at 6pm the last Saturday of each month.

I understand there were a few issues with food and service at the Lodge while we were out at conference.  While I don’t have all of the details about what happened I would like to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience our valued Members may have felt. This is not how we want to operate and we assure you we will do whatever it takes to make things right. We are also on the lookout for good, solid volunteers at all times.  If you “are one” or “know one” please see me or Dale, our Administrator.

Enjoy Spring. Take in a game. Enjoy the desert blooms. And most importantly, thank you for being part of our Moose family.
